First Option Healthcare are a Complex Care provider who specialise in providing care to Children & Adults with Complex needs in their own home. You’ll deliver personalised care and support to our clients in their own homes to help maintain dignity & self-worth and promote independence.

We are looking for a caring, compassionate, bubbly & energetic registered nurse to look after a young adult woman in her own home with previous experience of providing person centred care and quality care for children/adults with learning disabilities and experience with managing seizures. Client enjoys being supported with activities. 

The role will involve sensory & play therapy alongside a variety of activities such as bike rides, swimming & walks in the park with our client. Working alongside HCA's during all day shifts.

This job is for both Day shifts and Night shifts

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2:1 & 1:1 care to patients in their own home
  • Build rapport with family members and other staff members
  • Making sure care plans are followed and client dignity & respect is practiced

Requirements for the role:

  • A minimum of 2 years UK experience working with clients with clinical complex needs
  • Enteral Feeding - Via a Gastrostomy & Mickey Button
  • Seizure Management - Support & training given 
  • Oxygen Therapy 
  • Play Therapy & Sensory Play
  • Medication Administration
  • Ensure care plans are followed and changes escalated to clinical leads
  • Supporting clients outside the home
  • Able to support a client in a pool for Hydrotherapy sessions  

Experience

  • Seizure Management/Epilepsy: 1 year (required)
  • Oxygen Therapy: 1 year (required)
  • Sensory Play: 1 year (required)

Shift Patterns

Weekdays 15:00 - 21:00

Weekends 09:00 - 21:00 

Nights 21:00 - 08.30
