Job Introduction

First Option Healthcare are a Complex Care provider who specialise in providing care to Children & Adults with Complex needs in their own home. You’ll deliver personalised care to our clients to help maintain dignity & self-worth and promote independence.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants with a caring/energetic personality who have a passion for looking after adults with complex needs In the community, to help look after a 24 year old male in his own home based in West Maidstone ME16

Please note you will need to have a minimum of 1 years complex care experience looking after Adults in the community or in a hospital setting

Shift Patterns: Days x 2 on Thursday & Friday

Shift Times: 09:00 - 21:00

Complex Needs:

• Cerebral Palsy with 4 limb Dyskinesia
• Gastrostomy Feeding (Mickey Button)
• Epilepsy - (Focal & Generalised Seizures) & Buccal Midazolam
• Dystonia
• GORD - Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease)
• Oxygen Therapy
• Moving & Handling (Via Hoisting)
• Nasal Suctioning/ Secretion Management

Requirements for the role:

• Build rapport with family members and other staff members
• Making sure care plans are followed and client dignity & respect is practised
• Good communication (clear spoken English)
• Knowledge or experience with Therapy/Sensory Play and more
