Healthcare Assistant

Job Introduction

First Option Healthcare are a Complex Care provider who specialise in providing care to Children & Adults with Complex needs in their own home. You’ll deliver personalised care to our clients to help maintain dignity & self-worth and promote independence.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants with a caring/energetic personality who have a passion for looking after  children with complex needs In the community, to help look after a 16 year old female in her own home based in West Malling ME19

Please note you will need to have a minimum of 1 years complex care experience looking after children

Shift Patterns: Nights x 2 P/week Between Monday - Friday

Shift Times: 21:00 - 06:30

Main Responsibilities:

• Moving & handling (Minimal as client can move themselves)
• Ventilation - Nippy 4 Ventilator experience required
• CPAP (Via Nasal Mask during the night)
• Vital Signs Monitoring
• Behaviour Management
• Personal Hygiene (Pad Changes)

Requirements for the role:

• Build rapport with family members and other staff members
• Making sure care plans are followed and client dignity & respect is practised
• Good communication (clear spoken English)
• Knowledge or experience with Therapy/Sensory Play and more
