Adult Complex Care Assistant Support Worker

Job Introduction

We are recruiting experienced Support Workers to join a 24/7 complex care package supporting an adult with a brain injury in Colchester.

This is a rewarding role within a dedicated care team, providing high-quality, person-centred support in a home-based setting.

Shift Pattern

• Day shifts: 8am – 8pm

• Night shifts: 8pm – 8am

• 24/7 package (days and nights available)

Role Responsibilities

• Delivering specialist care for an adult with a brain injury

• Supporting with complex clinical needs

• Promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life

• Working closely with healthcare professionals and family members

• Accurate record keeping and adherence to care plans

Essential Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in brain injury care

• Background in adult complex care

• Confident with:

  • PEG feeding

  • Ventilation

  • Tracheostomy care

• Ability to manage clinical tasks safely and competently

• Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach

Desirable

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

• Previous experience in a similar 1:1 or complex care package
