Paediatric Complex Support Worker Health Care Assistant

Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate night support worker to care for a 17-year-old male with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, epilepsy, and complex respiratory needs at home.

Care Needs:

• Wheelchair dependent; hoisted transfers and full mobility assistance

• Night-time oxygen,  sleep apnoea monitoring

• Seizure management,  rescue administration 

• Chest physiotherapy

• Repositioning overnight for airway and skin integrity

• Administer medications safely

• Personal care, continence support, and reassurance

• Record-keeping

Requirements:

• Experience in complex care, ideally paediatrics

• Confident with epilepsy management, oxygen therapy manual handling, hoisting

• Calm, observant, responsive to non-verbal communication

• Committed to consistent night work and specialist training
