Complex Care Healthcare Assistant Support Worker

Job Introduction
We are recruiting experienced Support Workers to join a private complex care package supporting a young man with high clinical needs in his family home.
Shift Pattern
Night shifts
5 nights per week (FLEXIBLE)
20:00-08:00 (12 HR Shifts)
About the Individual
Service user is a 17 year old male who has cerebral palsy (quadriplegic) and complex medical needs. He requires full support with all aspects of care, including:
PEG feeding (Mini Button 14F x 2) via pump and bolus feeds
Epilepsy (medication management only – no rescue medication)
Dysphagia – high risk of choking
Medication administration (including reflux management)
Hoisting and non-independent mobility
Repositioning and turning on a medical bed
Personal care
Wearing a spinal brace for scoliosis
Monitoring body temperature (reduced temperature sensation)
The service user is non-verbal but communicates effectively through pointing, eye movement, sounds, and his computer and also has sensory sensitivities
Training Requirements
Successful candidates must complete 3 shadow shifts:
2 day shifts
1 night shift
Candidates must be clinically vetted and cleared prior to starting
Attend Bespoke In House Training
Ideal Candidates
Previous experience in complex care (essential)
Confident with PEG feeding, epilepsy care, and manual handling
Previously trained and confident in administering medications
Confident in Manual and Handling
Calm, patient, and attentive to sensory needs
Reliable and committed to a long-term package
