Job Introduction
First Option Healthcare are a Complex Care provider who specialise in providing care to Children & Adults with Complex needs in their own home. You’ll deliver personalised care and support to our clients in their own homes to help maintain dignity & self-worth and promote independence.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate, bubbly & energetic nurse to look after a 17 year old girl in her own home with previous experience of providing person centred care and quality care for children/adults with learning disabilities and experience with managing seizures.
The role will involve sensory & play therapy alongside a variety of activities such as bike rides, swimming & walks in the park with our client.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 care to patients in their own home
- Build rapport with family members and other staff members
- Making sure care plans are followed and client dignity & respect is practiced
Requirements for the role:
- A minimum of 12 months' UK experience in the last two years working closely with people with clinical complex needs
- Enteral Feeding
- Seizure Management
- Oxygen
- Play Therapy
- Medication Administration
- Manual Handling
- Ensure care plans and other information are followed and changes escalated to clinical leads
- Supporting clients outside the home when required i.e medical appointments, family trips and days out
Shift Patterns
Mondays - Sundays nights - Nights (1:1) 21:00-08:00 or 22:00-08:00
Mondays - Sundays days (2:1 working alongside support of HCA) 15:00 - 21:00 / 08:00 - 18:00 (Weekends)
