Complex Care Healthcare Assistant

First Option Healthcare are a Complex Care provider who specialise in providing care to Children & Adults with Complex needs in their own home. You’ll deliver personalised care to our clients to help maintain dignity & self-worth and promote independence.

We are looking for Healthcare Assistants with complex care experience to work on one of our packages based in Tenterden (TN30) - Please check you can commute to TN30

Shift Patterns: Days Only

Day Shifts: Thursdays Fridays & Saturdays

Shift Times: 

Mon - Fri Term Time: 15:30 - 21:00 & Mon - Fri Non Term Time: 08:00 - 21:00

Saturday & Sunday: 08:00 - 21:00

Requirements for the role:

• Non Invasive Ventilator Experience - BiPAP & Nippy 3+
• Gastrostomy Feeding & Mickey Button Experience
• Pump Feeding with Flocare Infinity Pump
• Seizure Management
• Oral Suctioning
• Moving & Handling
• Monitoring Vital Signs

Main Responsibilities:

• Reliable & punctual - consistency is key for continuity of care & building trust with the family
• Clinical & Interpersonal skills
• Proactive & positively engages with the service user
• Good communication skills - able to report concerns, hand over effectively & follow care plans
• Alert & attentive during both day and night shifts
• MUST be comfortable and confident driving country lanes + in the dark
• MUST be comfortable with animals as the family lives on a farm with cats & dogs in the home
