We are recruiting for a Paediatric Nurse (RCN) to become a Clinical Lead to manage and develop Paediatric Care Packages in Banbury.
To be considered for a Paediatric Clinical Lead position you must be a Registered Paediatric Nurse.

Key skills and responsibilities:
- Ensure you obtain an in-depth knowledge of the client and their clinical condition
- Ensure that you have the correct level of clinical knowledge to complete competencies with other staff
- Support new staff on the package, completing their shadow shifts and package orientation
- Develop a good working relationship with the Overarching Clinical Lead and have regular meetings with them informing them of all relevant updates
- Ensure that you are up to date on Safeguarding training
- Escalate any incidents that occur within the package to the Overarching CL or Care Manager
- Assist with the gathering of evidence for Transcription of MAR charts
- Complete Transcription competency and support other nurses on the package of care to achieve this level of competence
- Attend training with the Overarching Clinical Lead to learn how to report and escalate concerns
- Attend training on the relevant systems that you are required to use
- Assist the Overarching Clinical Lead with writing Care Plans and updating changes to the Care Plan when required.
- Attend meeting with the Overarching Clinical Lead when required to update them prior to ICB and MDT meetings.
- Complete Supervisions on all package staff as directed by overarching CL
- Ensure that their own competencies and training needs are updated at all times.
- Must remain flexible to change shifts at short notice and provide contingency cover on the package of care.
- Perform weekly stock check of PPE, then liaise with Admin team to order when required.
- Stock check of consumables and/or medication to be completed each week.
- Complete monthly client clinical review (overarching Clinical Lead will continue to complete quarterly reviews).
Specific Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RSCN – paediatrics packages, RGN for Adults packages) Must have a minimum 10 years’ post qualifying experience.
- Must have experience working in PICU / HDU / or caring for ventilated children/Adults in the community for at least 2 years.
- HDU / ICU course an advantage
- Must be a PAYE staff member or willing to swap to PAYE.
- Must be willing to work with the family and learn the clients’ routines/specifics
- Must attend all FOH training before starts work in the care package
- Must complete all FOH workbooks as part of the training.
- Driving license would be advantageous.
